F2 E1 on a Maytag range relates to the user interface or keypad, the control, and the connected wiring. Maytag lists it for ranges in general.
Start with the grates
Before touching the breaker, confirm the grates are seated correctly and sit level. Wait until the range is cool, then rock each grate from corner to corner and from side to side. A grate that wobbles may have been put on backwards, so swap the grates around. Once they are rotated, turn the power to the range off and on to clear the code.
Breaker reset
- Turn off the breaker for the oven.
- Hold it off for one minute.
- Turn it on.
- Observe the range for another minute and confirm the code stays away.
- Check that the oven runs.
When F2 E1 reappears after the reset, a technician should look at the range.
F2E1 without the space
F2E1 is a stuck key in Maytag’s tech sheet, a different listing from this one.
