About Our Maytag Repair Service

This site exists for one narrow job: getting Maytag appliances working again in San Francisco and around the Bay. We keep the scope small on purpose. A technician who sees the same brand day after day learns how its laundry machines wear in a damp garage, how its refrigerators behave when tucked into a tight alcove, and which complaints usually trace back to a clogged drain or a blocked vent rather than a failed part.

How we think about a repair

The order never changes. First the fault is found, then it is explained, then a written estimate is prepared, and only after the owner approves does any work begin. Many calls end with a modest fix: a drain pump cleared, a latch adjusted, an igniter replaced. Some end with a frank conversation about whether a repair makes sense. Our post on repairing or replacing a Maytag appliance sets out the factors we weigh, and we apply them to your situation rather than steering you toward either answer.

Who we work for

Homeowners and renters call us, but so do landlords with a handful of units and property managers who look after shared laundry rooms. Older San Francisco buildings add their own wrinkles: long dryer vent runs through shafts, laundry squeezed into hallway closets, kitchens where a stove sits within arm’s reach of a refrigerator door. We arrive expecting those conditions and plan the visit around stairs, parking and building access.

What we repair

Our work covers refrigerators, dishwashers, washers, dryers, ranges, cooktops, wall ovens and over-the-range microwaves. We do not take on other appliance types, because we would rather do fewer things properly. The full list of repair services is on the services page.

What you can expect from us

  • A diagnosis before any repair is proposed.
  • A written estimate you can read at your own pace.
  • No repair without your approval.
  • Plain answers about what failed and why.

We make no promises beyond those, because they are the ones we can always keep.

Using the guides

If you prefer to understand the problem first, the troubleshooting articles walk through common symptoms, the error code pages explain what the display is telling you, and the model pages gather notes on specific units. Safe owner checks are always limited to what can be done from the outside: power, breaker, water valve, filters and a clean lint screen. Anything behind a panel is left to a technician.

When you are ready, the contact page explains how to request a visit.
