Error codeFC E1
ApplianceWall Oven
Meaning of FC E1
Your oven did not get through to the router. Maytag gives five possibilities: the connection timed out, signal strength is poor, the router has failed, the Wi-Fi module in the oven is at fault, or the wiring is.
Work through it in this order
Cycle the oven: breaker(s) off for one minute, on again, then one minute of watching the display. Verify the oven operates.
No link between the module and your wireless router? Reset that router.
Try a smartphone, tablet or any other Wi-Fi capable device at the oven’s location and see if it works properly.
If it does, unplug the router for 2 minutes and plug it in; switch the oven’s power off for 2 minutes and on.
Signal not full
Move the router elsewhere in the home.
Fit a compatible signal extender.
Speak with your Internet Service Provider.
Other Wi-Fi codes
FC E2 carries the same guidance under the next number.
FC E4 involves the Wi-Fi antenna and its wiring instead.

Plain language
What this code means
FC E1 shows the oven could not connect to the router: time out, weak signal, a failed router, the Wi-Fi module or wiring.
Important safety warning. Do not attempt repairs involving electrical components, gas, water lines, refrigerant or sealed systems. Unplug the appliance if it is safe to reach the outlet, and leave internal diagnostics to a qualified technician.
