Maytag Dryer F3 E2 Error Code

VERIFIED

Error code F3 E2
Appliance Dryer

Five loads with no moisture reading

Maytag raises F3 E2 when a dryer has completed five loads in a row and the moisture sensors never registered anything. Household and commercial dryers receive identical guidance.

Maytag’s steps, in order

  1. Press the Power button. The code clears and the dryer can be started again.
  2. Look at the level of the dryer. If it leans, laundry may not touch the sensors in the drum. Put a level on the cabinet edge or another surface, because dryer tops can be curved, and turn the feet to adjust.
  3. Think about the load. One garment or a very small load can miss the sensors. Use larger loads, or an Automatic cycle in place of Timed Dry.
  4. Cycle the power: breaker(s) off for 1 minute, on again, start a time dry cycle and monitor for 1 minute.

When the message stays, book service.

Sensor strip codes

  • F3E2: front moisture sensor strip open or shorted
  • F3E7: rear strip open or shorted
  • F3 E3: the inlet thermistor, a different part altogether
