Error codeF30
ApplianceDryer
Air is not leaving the dryer freely
F30 is Maytag’s Restricted Air Flow code for commercial dryers. The cause named is a lint screen or vent that has clogged; the vent might also be crushed, kinked, or laid out with too many turns. Nothing shuts down. The dryer keeps going, and a touch on any key takes the display back to the estimated time remaining.
Checks in Maytag’s order
Clean the lint screen.
Examine the vent between the dryer and the wall for crushed or kinked sections.
Make sure that vent has no lint or debris inside.
Make sure the exterior exhaust hood is free of lint and debris as well.
Compare the run length and number of elbows with what the Installation Instructions recommend for your type of vent.
Select a Timed Dry heated cycle and restart.
If F30 stays on
The whole home venting run needs cleaning, and Maytag points owners to a venting specialist for that job.

F4 E3 reports the same restricted air flow under a different code.
Once the venting has been dealt with and the dryer still misbehaves, call (415) 649-2156 and we will arrange a visit in San Francisco or across the Bay Area. Have the code, the model number and the vent checks you made ready. The Maytag dryer repair page explains the rest.
Model compatibility: Maytag reuses codes across series and model years, so F30 may mean something different on another appliance or generation. Confirm this against your model’s documentation and record your full model number before acting.
