Turn the breaker on.
Stay by the microwave for a minute and see whether F6 shows again.
Test that the unit operates.
When the reset is not enough
If F6 returns, a technician visit is the next step.
Call (415) 649-2156 for Maytag microwave repair in San Francisco and the Bay Area. Give them F6, the model number and the outcome of the breaker reset.
Model compatibility: Maytag reuses codes across series and model years, so F6 may mean something different on another appliance or generation. Confirm this against your model’s documentation and record your full model number before acting.
